The Delhi High Court (DHC) was established on October 31, 1966, but the building itself has a rich history. The DHC initially operated from 4, Maulana Azad Road before moving to Travancore House. The current Sher Shah Road premises were inaugurated on September 25, 1976.
The Supreme Court of India's emblem features the Ashoka Chakra, but did you know the building's layout represents the scales of justice, with the Chief Justice's court (central wing) forming the center beam. The Chief Architect of the building was Ganesh Bhikaji Deolalikar.

India introduced the concept of One Person Company (OPC) through the Companies Act, 2013. This was revolutionary as it allowed a single person to create a company with limited liability - a concept previously reserved for partnerships of two or more people!
